We hope you all are feeling as energized as we are about this school year! Here are a few McKinley highlights for you this week from the PTM.
Family Nights Out
The PTM partners with restaurants to donate money to McKinley on specific nights. The way it works is that if you eat at one of the restaurants on the day(s) below and mention McKinley or show the attached flyer to the restaurant, the restaurant will donate to the school. Here are the locations and times:

Fun Run
We are getting ready for this year’s annual fun run on September 29th this year. The fun run is the school’s main fundraiser to give money directly to McKinley to support various different programs. This year we are trilled to be focusing our fundraising to go to three very important and large improvement projects for
- PE & Recess
- Reading & Library
- Outdoor Learning Center
The last two fun runs have been very successful for the school. We would love to build off the previous two years’ great results and provide some large improvements to the school, but we are definitely going to need your help to meet our $20,000 goal. Currently, we are 20% of the way there, which is great!
Here are some ways you can help:
- Send your child’s 99 Pledges donation page to family or friends. Donations close on 10/10! Click here to go to the McKinley Fun Run 99 Pledges website
- Volunteer your time for fun run prep or day of events. A lot goes into this annual event, and we would greatly appreciate all the help we can get. Click here to sign up to be a volunteer
Don’t forget! Student donation and participation prizes will be a part of the festivities again this year.
Safe Routes – Walking School Bus
We had a big success for our first walking bus. Thank you for all the families who participated! We can’t wait to do this again in October. Be on the look out for the next one.
