Our events are designed to create a sense of community and encourage family involvement in the educational journey of the students. They are a wonderful opportunity for families to bond and support each other while being a part of the school community. By attending, families can connect with teachers and fellow parents, and contribute to the overall growth and development of the school.
2024- 2025 Events
- Lemonade in the Shade: August 22nd – Come drop off your school supplies, meet your teacher and enjoy some lemonade with us!
- Movie Night: Septeber13th– Enjoy a movie night for the whole family.
- Community Connections Evening: September 26th – Our version of back to school night, with a focus engagement and connections with McKinley families.
- Fun Run: October 18th – Our big fundraiser for the school year. This annual event promotes student fitness, raises money for enrichment programs and events.
- Fall Festival: October 24th– Let’s get together for fun family night out. Come have food, play games and enjoy activities and crafts!
- Movie Night: December 13th– Enjoy a movie night for the whole family.
- Game Night: January 31st– Bring a yourselves (and if you want, your favorite game) and have a family game night with other families.
- STEAM Night: Feb TBD
- Movie Night: March14th– Enjoy a movie night for the whole family.
- One World, One Night- A Multicultural Celebration: April 25th– Join us as we share, learn and celebrate our community.
- Bike Festival: April 30th-A rodeo is a bicycle skills event which provides an opportunity for students to practice and develop skills that will help them become better bicyclists. There will be a mechanic on site and some bikes to give away.
- Art Night: May 16th— In collaboration with the Art Literacy Program at McKinley, there will be several different project stations for kids and their families to try out and learn more about the Art Literacy Program and why it’s important.
- Field Day: June TBD- Students play multiple fun activities and games that our set up around our field and in our gym.
